LIONEL AND PATRICIA FANTHORPE
Patricia and Lionel Fanthorpe were both born in Norfolk, and have worked together as writers since the 1950s. They married in 1957 and have two daughters and two grandchildren. They have been interested in researching unsolved mysteries such as Rennes-le-Chateau, the Oak Island Money Pit and the Mary Celeste for over sixty years.
This on-site research has taken them worldwide. Lionel worked at one time for the Cambridge University Extra-Mural Board where he lectured on the Psychology and Sociology of Unexplained Phenomena. He is President of ASSAP -- the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena, and Patricia is their First Lady. They belong to the Psychical Research Society and The Ghost Club -- of which Charles Dickens was a founder member. Lionel has presented and contributed to many TV and radio programmes on the paranormal. He was headmaster of a large comprehensive high school for eleven years prior to retiring from teaching.
