Meet Potty Poet...

Celia Warren

Celia's first poetry collection for The King's England Press, Vikings Don't Wear Pants: Potty Poems of the Past, was published in 2001, co-authored by Roger Stevens. This popular book delves into all the murky goings on of times past: how our ancestors managed before the advent of modern toilets; what a sore experience it was for Victorians to ride a penny farthing and whether or not Vikings wore underwear, to name but a few subjects mused about.

Writing predominantly for children, Celia has a wealth of material to her name which has appeared in diverse formats: poems and stories have been broadcast on schools radio, used in verse-speaking festivals and even set to music.

Passionate about poetry and writing, Celia spends her time sharing her abundant enthusiasm with teachers and pupils during school visits, in addition to creating poetry resources for use in the classroom.
