T.F.I. FRIDAY
It’s been a long week in the longboat
And the oarsmen’s arms are aching,
It’s hot inside their helmets
And the Viking heads are baking.
They’ve pillaged and they’ve plundered
And, by Thor, those men have thundered!
But now, at last, their Chieftain cries,
”Oars down! And leave them tidy!
You’ve all done very well, my lads,
But now, thank Frigg, it’s Friday!”
[Frigg was the Viking god of love.
No wonder the day we all love was named after her!]
